Properties

Pink clay is a form of kaolin clay and the more iron oxide present, the more pink or red it will appear.  The mineral content of any clay (such as iron, illite, silica, magnesium, selenium, zinc) will differ depending on where the clay is mined.

Applications

Note: never use metal when mixing clay as this takes away some of clay’s mineral properties. Use glass, plastic or wooden spoons and bowls instead.
